US/UK firm Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw appoints Sean Connolly as senior partner of the London office from September. He succeeds Paul Maher, who has become vice-chairman of the firm. Jeremy Clay, head of European real estate group, has taken on the new role of executive partner in London to support Mr Connolly in running the office.

In addition to a new partner, US firm Cohen Milstein Hausfeld & Toll has hired competition associate Scott Campbell. He moves from fellow US firm Latham & Watkins.
Central London firm Glovers promotes Liza Lam-Kee to associate in its property finance department.
Assistant Gemma Duckworth joins Canterbury firm Fairweather & Co from SPH Law in Cheltenham to head up the new family department. Gemma Purt joins the department upon qualification with the firm.
