The Law Society has launched an innovative brand campaign that will enable solicitors to customise campaign posters to include their own images and organisation logo.

Posters will also appear on 900 bus routes and 440 railway station sites across England and Wales.

The campaign, which follows consultation with the profession, public and business, promotes solicitors as experts in their field – ‘client-focused, delivering value for money, honest and honourable, approachable and accessible and making a positive contribution to society’.

Society president Robert Bourns said: ‘Our profession is facing one of the most significant periods of change in recent times. Against this backdrop the Society is working tirelessly to represent, promote and support the reputation of solicitors both nationally and internationally. That’s why we have launched a campaign to help define, build and support the brand of solicitor and build pride in the profession.’

The new materials include three social media toolkits, aimed at high street solicitors, large firms and in-house solicitors.

From November, members who register with My Law Society will be able to access and customise the new posters. They will be able to remove the Society’s logo and contact details and replace them with their own, and an image of a member of their firm.

The Law Society is also calling on members to support the campaign by ‘telling us their stories’.

Solicitors are asked to send their stories with ‘solicitor brand’ in the subject line to corporatecommunications@lawsociety.org.uk.
