Altrincham property and private client firm MLP Law has announced the acquisition of local firm William H Lill in what it says is the first step in an acquisition strategy. The merger creates a firm of 27 lawyers and 19 support staff with a turnover expected to grow to £3 million.
W H Lill partners Michael Jackson and Seb Jackson will join MLP, a statement said.
Stephen Attree, managing partner of MLP, said, ‘We have been experiencing solid year-on-year growth. This acquisition is fundamental to achieving our business objectives and continued success. We are delighted to welcome the W H Lill team and look forward to introducing their contacts to MLP, its culture and way of doing business.’
MLP said it is looking for 'suitable prospects' for more acquisitions around Manchester, Liverpool and Warrington. 'MLP Law is an attractive proposition to legal firms wishing to merge or sell their practices,' Attree said. 'We would welcome interested parties to discuss opportunities.’
