Unfortunately the the judges have come in for some criticism from some politicians who view they have politicised their decisions that has been not helped by former judges making clearly political views that has inflamed the situation.

Given the recent jailing of a person for written comments, yet those who inflict physical harm with extreme violence and sometimes armed that do not get jailed it is not surprising the public sometimes perceive our courts have at times been politicised and fail to follow perceived common sense.

Judges need to be aware of such concerns and the public ,including politicians hold them to account by expressing reasonable views when unusual decisions are reached that have national interest.

If judges do not find they can take reasonable criticism on national issues then the bench is not a place for them.

They are often hand out criticism without much concern sometimes in an unreasonable manner so only appropriate others should be able to voice concerns.

We only have to look at the failings of some judges in the Post Office scandal to realise the horrendous abuse to innocent Post Office workers, some who took their own lives, could have been avoided had judges ordered proper disclosure of critical evidence when requested.
