A piece fit for the journal of those members of a profession who still aspire to be learned rather than part of an industry.
My wife and I had to tread part of the SEND path and, despite both being in private practice as lawyers with long relevant experience, we found the process slow, time consuming, emotionally demanding and very expensive. Ultimately right prevailed which outcome equipped a then beleaguered child with the opportunity to learn and succeed which they have now done in spades.
Professionally, I lost count of the number of tribunal cases which settled in favour of the family at the 11th hour (it's not only the child that these decisions affect).
If we are, as now appears likely, witnessing stealth tactics, we are going to have to keep a closer eye on the legislature in future.
What have we come to?
