I am pleased that it was not a legal firm regulated by the SRA that was involved with Angela Rayner. For the licenced conveyancers firm to have come out to say they acted for her in the purchase, I expect that they obtained authority from their governing board. This is an instance where sadly if a Solicitors firm had acted, they would not have been able to defend themselves and point out that the client was lying. All the more shame. Us Lawyers spend our lives protecting clients when frequently they do not deserve it. I ask myself would the SRA have allowed a Solicitors firm to speak out against Angela Rayner's lies? Is it not about time we were allowed to protect ourselves, and our Profession against such dishonesty people. I think we need a discussion.
