"The other interesting part of this judgment is that it confirms that conveyancing solicitors are under a positive duty to minimise their client's SDLT liabilities (in spite of the SRA frowning upon perfectly legitimate SDLT mitigation planning elsewhere)."

Would that be the sort of SDLT mitigation scheme that the High Court said solicitors doing them lacked integrity and faced striking off? (See here: http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Admin/2015/2659.html )
