Anon the Last: You are absolutely right; and I'm glad to infer that you have succeeded in law. I myself haven't succeeded - but it never occurred to me to blame that personal failure on the fact that I am white; or male; or old; or middle class; or Irish (which is almost BAME, as things go nowadays); or that somebody way back just didn't like my face.
