"Unconcious bias" lets off the hook those engaged in conscious bias; the latter being wide-spread. And, let's not fool ourselves into thinking there is a quick fix. I think the earliest any real change will be seen is when the younger millenials, those whose education began in the latter part of the 1990s, reach middle-age.
