If, Anon 2.05 all these new boys on the clinical negligence block are entering a market already well catered for by existing firms, what is it exactly they will be doing?

If you assume that in ,say, 100 counties, or their urban equivalent, in GB two firms per county and each with 10 fee earners there is going to be an increase of 2,000 practising in this area. If they all run 250 files at a time there will have to be 500,000 more cases. If they all cost the NHS on average £20,000 in costs and £30,000 in damages, i e £50,000, ignoring clinicians' time and disbursements, often costly, the result seems to me to be an extra £25,000,000,000. or £2.5bn.

And will all these new boys be competent to do this sort of work?
