1. Families are often faced with litigations brought by local authorities. Those authorities are represented by lawyers and families are sometimes represented legally and sometimes deprived of representation due to the complexity of the case, and seriousness of the issues involved. In such cases, families are compelled to be litigants in person when citizen advice bureau refuse to provide legal advice, turn them down or when legal aid lawyers discourage them by pointing out that the case doesn't have any merits.

2. However, if the lawyer is paid, he will see merits in the case! This is unfair. Legal aid lawyers representation is very limited nowadays and they are not free to address issues.

3. LIPs do represent accurately in courts, submit grounds, skeleton arguments, and other representation to assist judged. Nevertheless, judges disregard the submissions as they are biased towards LIPs. Their approach changes when a case involves a LIP. Some LIPs are professionals, such as teachers, doctors... and they know what Is relevant and how to present a case. If judges are partial and competent, the LIPs will be heard appropriately and justice will be delivered.

4. I understand that judges are trained to deal with LIPs and they should therefore not be involved in corruption, and abuse of powers. Favouratism should be abolished and equality of arms should be present in courts.
