Simon Baggot I note your comment In ALL other areas of legal practice, of course, there are lots of rules of law, many of which are fairly tricky to get the hang of. This is simply not true as an LIP whose defended insolvency and other claims caused by ineffectual sols with the exception of negligence I have yet to find anything in law that is remotely tricky given an internet connection and a bit of reading. Please refrain from statement such as this after all there is plenty of senior judges and lawyers openly stating that a law degree and any other experience is unnecessary to be a good lawyer. Like all things in life people tend to do a job based on their qualifications rather than their aptitude for it and law is one of the most indoctrinated professions on the planet best evidence is Judges appointments.
