As far as my area of law is concerned (PI) I suspect Claimant's solicitors won't issue proceedings (we can't afford a £10,000 court fee and nor can the vast majority of clients) and Defendant's insurers will be desperate to avoid proceedings being issued (they won't want to be saddled with an extra £10,000 disbursement if the claim is successful). Limitation periods will be voluntarily extended until pre issue settlement. Result - a lot of DJs and other court staff made redundant. The Government will save some money.
