I would like to see cold calling banned. Everyone I speak to about this completely agrees. I receive about 3 cold calls per day, all nuisance calls to me. If someone knocked my door 3 times a day trying to sell me something I would become very annoyed, angry, upset etc with them. Cold calling makes me feel the same, but I have no power to stop these nuicance callers. It seems that being registered on the ICO list is ignored by these unscrupulous cold callers. I hate them, they are out of control. I have even been verbally abused when I've asked where they are calling from.

How long is it going to take for these intrusive, nuisance, sometimes abusive people to be stopped. They are very distressing to some people, particularly the old and vulnerable.

Bring on the fines, and better still, ban cold calling all together. I don't want people I don't know wasting my precious time, but I have little power to stop them. This can't be right can it???
