Wind up or not, there lies the danger in the reform of legal aid funding and the civil justice reforms that have occurred over the last few years. Access to regulated legal advice has been severely restricted creating opportunities for unregulated entities to enter the market space. Just look at the PPI mis selling explosion that occurred where people were giving away a good proportion of their damages when all that was required was a few letters to the insurer and then a complaint to the FOS who were upholding over 80% of complaints. It may have taken several months and possibly years but people like Money Saving Expert had all the standard letters to use for free.
