I will only instruct someone that I think is up to the mark and sex doesn't enter into it.

I am female. The comment that someone looked fuckable - come on - we are all adults and asterisk look childish - not the best compliment ever but hardly sexist. She wasn't being denigrated for being a woman.

As for the idea that solicitors push female counsel into sex cases all I can say is that in my experience that is utter rubbish. I would never instruct someone on the basis of their gender and neither would any solicitor I know. We're all a bit too grown up for that.
