How is it ok to claim £200 - £400 per hour for a) asking the claimant to explain their claim b) getting their medical notes c) reading their notes and drafting a chronology, d) asking for disclosure from the defendant e) reading whether the defendant has admitted any fault or not and f) sending a letter to an expert to ask that expert if the claimant has a case. g) if the claimant has a case ask counsel to double check h) send a letter of claim. yes it gets trickier if the case is defended and a higher value but at least 50% of the work done in these case can be done by paralegals. EL/PL is harder to deal with than clin neg!
