While I accept entirely that a litigator needs to have a thick skin, there are certain "opponents" whose general approach to litigation over a long course of dealings, simply makes even the most calm and rational human being want to write an email telling the opponent to "eff off and die". I know I want to write in such terms on the odd occasion.

For my "usual" oppos I know that the odd shirty email is a one-off, or motivated by their client's specific instructions on that occasion, but there are only one or two locally to me who really need to listen to themselves once in a while and rein themselves in a bit.

Perhaps Mr Barca and his opponent should consider their course of dealings and see whether they should pass their file to a colleague. In my previous firm, these would be regarded as "mental block" files where the personalities involved are stopping matters being dealt with in the best interests of their respective clients.

I also remember very clearly being advised by a represntative from our insurer never to fill in the "to" box an an email until you have re-read and are happy with the contents of your message so as to avoid sending off mails to the wrong person or sending content which you might regret with the benefit of hindsight.

Ar$eh0les are in every walk of life - please see attached list - but don't bring yourself down to their level. Anyway, what is said about revenge is absolutely true, and I don't mean "get yours in first"...!
