People are missing the point that if the small claims limit goes up this effects every type of personal injury claim not just RTA's.

This will wipe out 95% of all EL/PL and RTA cases althougther and ID practitioners are basically gone as I haven;t come across many claims at all for ID where the GD's were ever close to £5k.

If the General Damages on any claim are not worth £5k or more you are going to be stuck with SCT fees.

Whilst you MAY recover the disbursement of a medical report up to £750 under the rules is it going to be worth it.

The Rules governing Portal claims will need to be amended significantly.

I started my career in PI to genuinely help people, for people to suggest we will just move to DBA's where we take 50% of damages makes me morally feel very uncomfortable and will only alienate the legal profession from everyone even more.

The legal system used to be there to try and put someone back into the situation they would have been following the negligent act of someone else and to compensate them for any PSLA. What has happened to this goal?
