This decision has nothing to do with public spending or the Autumn Statement ......Or does it? The NHS has run out of money hence the recent £6 billion injection . In February this year the NHS set aside £26 BILLION ie almost 25% of its budget to satisfy negligence claims. Its been convenient to try to kill off the PI sector by jumping on the Insurers bandwagon but it hasnt worked and desperate measures are called for to sort the Government finances and to hell with access to justice. It really has nothing to do with lower insurance premia and much less has it ever had to do with fraud .
