Exemplary damages for a murderer? What planet is this cretin living on? Given that the judge can't even get the defendant's name right, how can we be confident he has the law right? He's given the chap nearly £400 as compensatory damages, which are bloody difficult to get for those of us who are not murderers.

"Where one party is represented and the other is not, it is generally considered to be the duty of the legally qualified advocate to assist the court even against his own client’s interest.

So the government is expected to put the case of the murderer who is suing it?
