Comment

The profession has, over the last 30 years, gradually shifted from having a predominantly male entry to one which is now female in the majority. This should lead to a much fairer representation in due course, although MPs tend to be chosen from the commercial (big fees) side (although there's another discussion to have regarding the wisdom of that from both a fees sacrifice and 'soft' vs' hard' skills perspective) and that, I understand, is still heavily male-dominated.

Regrettably I still think the bar is in many cases set higher for a woman to get the top job than for a man.

We may still be a generation away from this becoming something people no longer have to talk about, because the issue will by then, hopefully, have ceased to be.
