I thouhght we'd end up with the lowest common denominator- graffiti from the 1950s insulting a section of the population who don't fit Mr Crawford's ideological obsessions.

There are always people who abuse systems- any system. It is a cheap politician's trick to turn that into an excuse for undermining those who, inconveniently need to use it.
