Anon @8.41 - that would protect him if W inherited but fialed to pay him, but would not protect his against the possibility that MIl would change her will or not leave anything.

It does seem a very odd order - when I initialially read the story I thought perhaps MIL had lost capacity before the order was made, so thatthey knew she would not change it but did not know the contents, for instance, but that does not appear to have been the case.

Its also possible, of couse, that H had a good relationhip with his MIL despite the divorce, which might account for his allegaton that the will was forged.

Katrina Robinson - the 'All to Mother' will wasn't about an ex-wofe. It was a husband and wife and the wife established that the coiple had always called one another 'Mother' and 'Father'. the disputewas that his own mother was still living and it was not immediately obvious who he meant.
