Actually I would say that yet another clobbering from the government encourages retention of profits in practices operating via a limited company. Why take the money out if by doing so one incurs an absolutely stupid tax liability? Better to leave some money in, thwart HMRC, and hope to find a more tax efficient way of getting the money out later.
