What happened to Commonhold and why has the Government not persuaded more lenders not to be so chicken about lending on Commonhold, which I understand is the main obstacle?

We are so behind in our approach to commonhold compared to, for example, Australia. This is yet another thing the Law Society could do - ie lobby Government - and find a good way of putting an end to this overuse and "abuse" of leasehold to create an iniquitous investment for those with more money than they know what to do with to fleece and exploit those who are of little or moderate means!
