Are we reading the same thing here? This isn't about proving your client's innocence and putting forward a robust defence, but suggesting that *the victim* was somehow responsible for the attack. God, I shudder to think that we are back to the days of "she was wearing a mini skirt/she had drunk 5 pints/she flirted with him/she was out late at night" kind of horrible victim blaming culture.
