So, once again, the employer can pay. Does no one realise that some employers, yes even some solicitors, are paying employees more than they earn themselves? Why do these 'employees' not do what their 'employers' have done, go to their bank manager, borrow £50,000 and set up their own businesses? Any profit over and above what they might earn as employees, and after taking into account the cost of the loan, is the reward for the risk they take. But, oh no, they do not want to take any such risks., work all their Saturdays, have few holidays and all the rest of it And, of course, there are something like 10 employees for every employer so their are more votes in sucking up to the former at the expense of the latter.
