so despite having incredibly high satisfaction levels and clients being very happy, that is not enough.

I don't understand about the desire to push clients towards comparison sites. Correct me if I am wrong but don't most people use someone or a business because of word of mouth? I for one will always use a contractor or a retailer if they have been recommended to me by someone that has used them rather then use a comparison site to go for the cheapest.

Comparison sites work for certain things like insurance but even then the headline figure on the comparison site isn't always the cheapest or the price you actually pay.

Also, how is it the lawyers fault that a client chooses not to complain if they are unhappy. It's in black and white how to complain. Are we meant to employ psychics that will tell us when someone is unhappy so we can badger them into complaining?
