While I managed to avoid domestic conveyancing throughout my working life, colleagues who did that work mentioned that one time consuming aspect was keeping clients informed. If that aspect of the process can be automated to a degree (like tracking your order for new consumer goods on line, with some basic explanation when things might appear stalled - survey; search results, response to queries, etc) why is that a bad thing, and how does it somehow belittle the practice of law?
