Bundles are supposed to be agreed. On occasion this process becomes part of the trench warfare, and sometimes - perhaps in this case - the bundle reflects this, as including everything contended for by both sides, irrespective of relevance. I have experienced bizarre documents being included, and refused to be excluded, with no obvious relevance. If never referred to (the norm) I conclude they are insisted on as a way to divert the client's team from the issues by fretting about why they are there.

Notwithstanding that sort of thing, despite pleadings, witness statements and skeletons, you can never be wholly sure at trial that the judge won't ask about something which is best answered by referring to a document that isn't in the bundle ... so rather than look ill prepared, if in doubt in it goes.
