Law schools in Wales probably look like English law schools because there is still (in theory) a united legal jurisdiction, therefore there needs to be at least some common grounding in the law. However, the professor's comments, coupled with the latest Welsh Government consultation on a separate interpretation Act for Wales, appear to be another step in a creep towards a "de facto" separate legal jurisdiction in Wales. Isn't it time we brought the debate about that into the open? We're now faced with the prospect of a (so-called) United Kingdom with 4 separate legal jurisdictions. If Wales wants to be independent, then fine, but in which case let's also re-examine the Barnett formula...
