Anyone wishing to qualify as a Solicitor can do so by getting employed with a Solicitor and taking the Cilex routes. There are a variety of routes to suit different people including a degree route.
The advantages are: earn as you learn; understand the practical application of law from the start; test yourself through examination; have a job and a career path from the earliest stage; save yourself a load of money on the LPC and waiting to get a training contract.
For employers, it is less dsruptive and much more beneficial as far as employing people who know how to undertake their duties in a paractical way.
