No chance in my professional lifetime unfortunately.

Solicitors simply need to accept that, unless you happen to be a partner in a magic circle firm, or perhaps are an acknowledged expert in a particularly niche field, the chances of Judicial appointment are and will remain effectively non-existent.

As a solicitor admitted 35 years ago, I regard this as an affront to Justice itself. I have been privileged to know several solicitors in my time who would have made superb Judges, and the administration of justice in this Country Is the poorer in consequence of such talent being simply ignored.
