I cannot imagine whoever gave you a thumbs down. They must be either mad, a sadist - or just pressed the wrong button in error!

You are wrong about one thing though - you say 99% of indemnity policies never result in a claim. I think that should really be 100%!
Spoke to the managing director of a well known and long standing such insurance company a year or two ago and squeezed that information out of him - after a fight! May as well just shove the premium money down the drain - though I suppose that might just clog up our waterways! Funny world isn't it?
