The pressure from the market to keep posting profits forces firms on the acquisition trail... does this cause issues, yes, look at S&G and Fairpoint.

S&G became a beast without looking at organic growth, this just wasn't sustainable.

Fairpoint just didn't get the legal market, they didn't purchase the right firms, Simpson Millar wasn't a direct to consumer firm, they didn't get marketing as they were getting most work via unions.

They have both survived just.

Will other firms follow suite, of course it's a way of making cash quick, but more firms will also go under this way as well.
