A week after I received my official certificate confirming I was a Solicitor of the Supreme Court my dear father (sadly no longer here) and I were travelling on a train when the guard failed to come into our carriage to take the fare. Dad was thrilled that he may have got a free train ride - I was mortified - I haven't worked all these years to become a Solicitor to get struck off for dodging a two bit train fare - tragic results for a measly two bit fraud - what a price - however this serves as a lesson to all - it always starts small.
