The sentencing criteria are there for all to see with a quick google search.

If the sentence appears to be unduly lenient then there is the possibility for the sentence to be increased via an A-G reference.

The Judge pronounced sentence in public and his (I presume it is a he) sentencing remarks would have been publicised at the time.

This wanton drivel about 'justice being seen to be done' is like the drunken hoards following the tumbril: it has nothing to do with justice and little more than a want to be associated with a baying crowd.

It may be unpopular but this sort of hue and cry is little different than the response of the The Mail et al to the decision in the Supreme Court re Brexit.

None of this is in any way supporting the release of Worbouys as I am an advocate of capital punishment and would rather he was hanged, but rather a defence of the concept of upholding the rule of law.
