Beech Jones did do PI work and Medical Negligence as well. Natural to assume that it was related to this type of work, with barristers being involved so heavily.

This sort of practice has been going on for years though. I worked in a PI firm before that did exactly the same with medical report invoices. Made out that they were paying the agency but the cheques were just held back and then got written back as they were never cashed.

Whilst I have sympathy for some of these people that are driven to this sort of action, we need to recognise that this is not just a rare instance. Solicitors are being put in this position by the continued attack on fees and the viability of running a legal practice
