Won’t Mr Carlisle be joining us today? He had plenty to say a few weeks ago and even published an article in the LSG criticising us for our behaviour (despite the fact that his client lost in the case giving rise to the said previous article). I suspect his (and Green’s) outfit is about to go belly up whether through financial failure or SRA intervention.

As previously pointed out, there is no evidence whatsoever that Carlisle is entitled to conduct litigation. Therefore, I suspect he would return to his previous job in the law costs draftsmen industry. I hope my colleagues will be careful to ensure that he (or any firm employing him) receives no instructions to recover claimant costs in personal injury litigation; he’s made his bed...
