One wonders how an unqualified fee earner gets the keys to the safe? It one of our staff did something like that, the firm would probably have been intervened into, they'd no doubt strike the lot of us off and ban the unadmitted staff and no doubt it would be used endlessly to "prove" that high street solicitors can't be trusted with funds and need escrow accounts and factory conveyancing outfits based in industrial estates in Leeds should be the only ones permitted to work for mortgagees, etc.
