This appears a lot of sturm and drang over nothing particularly unusual.
Why was disclosure not obtained in time by the patient's solicitors? If they were negligent there is an obvious remedy there.
Why shouldn't a defendant's solicitor defend their client?
These naming and shaming in Parliament cases, cloaked in privilege, run the risk that many of the relevant facts remain unstated and that justice is not served very well.
