Frank Maher, 31 Jan @ 13:22 - indeed, that may be unwelcome, and yes insurers may overreact in terms of loading premiums to reflect perceived risk, but one would hope that a premium increase would prompt the firm to examine its practices and/or the competence of its staff. The seller's solicitors in Dreamvar seem to have acknowledged that they didn't do a thorough job; the greater injustice is that the purchaser's solicitors did theirs but ended up footing the bill simply because they or their insurers had deeper pockets. Eh??
