Jewish and Muslim families are not asking to jump the queue at the expense of others. As rightly mentioned by Anon at 1003, speed of burial is not normally even an issue for other religions. Consequently, expediting the release of bodies in Jewish and Muslim cases will not be at the expense of families of other religions (or none) where there is traditionally a much longer period between death and burial.
Whilst the Jewish and Muslim religions require an early burial, most families of other religions or none do not even seek early burial. Indeed many would actively prefer a longer period between death and burial.
Consequently, the suggestion of jumping the queue at the expense of others does not stand up to scrutiny.
Some of the comments below display a simple antipathy to religion, which is fine, but irrelevant to the issue.
