The proposed changes will reduce the headcount of firms doing PI work by about 90% I reckon. The tariffs are the death knell for Claimant firms. Some firms doing clinical neg and higher value claims will survive but we are talking about a handful. And those that do remain will probably be reliant on insurers feeding them work - at least in the RTA space anyway. The choices facing firms is stark. Cavity wall claims and HDR are not for me! The desperation of CMC's in trying to push these claims is astonishing. They look aghast when you tell them that without a Defendant the claims are hopeless. Don't let that minor fact get in the way of an otherwise good claim!
