If claimants have a GENUINE financial loss they why wouldn't they claim it.
Special damages require proof always have so nothing will change from that point of you, if you cannot work you provide evidence of loss EXACTLY the same as you would now, you approach your employer or provide a signed schedule of loss, written or presented by the CLAIMANT and not a solicitor.
These low value claims do NOT require assistance from a solicitor and never have, you can give 10 extreme examples when a solicitor MIGHT have been needed but I can give tens of thousands of examples where there was no need at all for their presence
