Sir Richard Aikens QC admits that the case against the EU "had not been well made". Perhaps that's because there never was a reasonable basis for Brexit, just a petulant outburst of nationalist sentiment.

John Park complains of the pro-Remain media "bullying" the Brexiteers. Does he forget the Daily Mail's slander of our highest court as "enemies of the people" and Quentin Letts' childish refusal to stand for the judges during the Miller case? Disrespect for due process and the the rule of law does not inspire confidence in the reasonableness of the Brexiteers' arguments.

Interesting how those who voted to save £350 million a week for the NHS now accept that we will be poorer outside the EU. A too-late, but touchingly sad, concession by the defrauded majority. Haunting echoes of earlier hubris: Capt Smith going down with the Titanic, his (apochryphal?) last words to the crew "Be British".
