Seems I am the only one to think of an obscure Julian Cope song on fox hunting the minute I read this.

Aside from that, whilst I agree that an LIP should be able to read the rules, isn't understanding and interpreting the requirement of a lawyer. Regardless of the courts stating there isn't a difference between parties when represented or not there is the knock on effect of wasted court time, pointless applications and misunderstanding the nuances of the rules / court system which will occur as a result of more LIP's (See PI circa late 2019/20). Prevention is better than cure surely. How is another matter.
