Anon 15:01 - you can't equate 'not seeking medical attention' with 'no injury'. If I break my wrist playing rugby and don't go to the hospital, does that mean I didn't break it?

Please see the guidelines which explain the awards for particular injuries. If it is a relatively minor injury, it will attract less of an award... kind of an obvious way to go about things, really.

I'm quite interested to know what you yourself think the alternative should be. The injury can't be taken away, but it is an injury so justifies compensation (the only real way being via monetary damages at that stage).
