You misinterpret my comments. If someone is a snowflake (a term I detest) and/or mentally weak and/or mentally damaged for whatever reason then they deserve sympathy and help.

My comment means - what has changed that mental health is now such a concern? Is it because pressures have changed, or work has changed, or that people have changed? Is it partly life pressures generally? Maybe it is just more recognised and people have more of an awareness about it.

I wish I knew the answer because such problems are ultimately harmful to the individuals concerned, their clients their firms and the profession generally.
